Solar VPS provides hosted services from three geographically diverse data facilities including two in New Jersey, USA and one in Maidenhead,
Berkshire, United Kingdom. Diversifying our global data network allows customers to host closer to the heart of their businesses, which provides
lower latency and higher transmission speeds. In addition to geographically optimal hosting, customers are provided with an unique ability to
create their own hosting redundancy by using several of our data facilities around the world.
No matter which data facility you choose, Solar VPS provides premium Tier 1 bandwidth to all customers. Level3 and Telia are
used in all 3 data facilities while other exceptional providers such as Global Crossing, NLayer, Savvis and Sprint are provided
to our US facilities. All transit providers are routed over multiple Gigabit fiber connectivity allowing maximum throughput
and future scalability.
All chosen Solar VPS data facilities are built with redundant routing capabilities. Along with fully automatic BGP, our networks
are maintained with N+ 1 upgrade/maintenance policies for immediate failover.
Offering multiple data facilities can often times be confusing. In order to choose the new home for your hosting, understanding
the differences in our networks is important.
Both Solar VPS US data facilities use fully redundant BGP routing. Solar VPS
offers a range of ip address options to customers including ip addresses provided by our data facilities and ip addresses assigned
to Solar VPS direction from ARIN. US facilities are built around VLAN sharing methodologies which means that anywhere from 2-5
VPS nodes sharing a single VLAN. This allows convenient customers server migrations from one VPS node to another without the need
for changing up addresses. Windows VPS, Windows DDS and Linux VPS are always hosted on diverse VLANs.
Solar VPS on staff
Cisco Certified professionals handle network management from redundant Cisco 3500 series routers to Cisco 2900 distribution
switches. This allows for both troubleshooting and network changes without relying on data facility staff and thus provides better
service to customers.
The Solar VPS UK based data facility is constructed somewhat differently than US facilities. Given
the way data networks are built in the UK, direct uplinks are provided from Cisco 2900 series distribution swithces to data
facility edge and core routers. All VPS nodes on a single distribution switch share a single VLAN and thus allow for convenient
server migrations. While VLANs are not handled on Solar VPS UK based network devices, Solar VPS Cisco Certified Professionals
carefully handle network connectivity and SNMP monitoring on all distribution switches in the UK facility.
Regardless
of the data facility customers choose, Solar VPS provides fast, low latency service in all locations. All Solar VPS networks provide
high performance connectivity with exceptional network uptime.
With the most extensive optical metro network in the world, data centers throughout the US and Europe, top quality managed services
and a high performance IP network, the 100 Delawanna (FortressITX) network is able to offer the most flexible and complete data exchange
solutions in the industry.
The 100 Delawanna Ave. facility has a 100% optical network that enables customers to create an
efficient, cost-effective network that brakes economic and performance barriers imposed in the last mile by complex legacy telecom
infrastructures.
Powered by a mesh of 1Gbps ethernet connections and connected to multiple Tier 1 IP backbone providers the 110 Meadowlands Parkway
data center uses only the best routing and switching equipment from Cisco for maximum throughput.
The 110 Meadowlands Parkway
facility utilizes intelligent BGPv4 routing protocols to provide the fastest, fail-safe routing with traffic to the fastest
and closest backbone providers in order to acheive the best speed with the lowest latancy.
Euroconnex operates one of Europe's most extensive networks covering 6 countries, including data centres in Eastern Europe. The
pan-European network operates at 1Gbit/second with future capacities for 10Gbits throughput, utilising prover carrier-class
equipment from manufacturers including Cisco Systems and Extreme Networks.
Euroconnex peers directly with most Tier-1 and
Tier-2 providers, allowing direct access to European destinations with the shortest possible path.
The Euroconnex network
currently covers France, Germany, United Kingdom, Holland, Austria and Hungary with expansion to Czech Republic, Ireland and Spain
following soon.
