A comment on SolarVPS
Roscoe Pico:
Sorry to hear that you are not happy with your service. I have personally commented on several of your tickets in the past and it is apparent that your issues are due to your overuse of your purchase memory. The hardware node where youe VPS is located is very far from being oversold. There is very little swap being used and CPU levels on the node are consistently quite low. 256MB of RAM running cPanel/WHM is often times the cause of a users memory troubles as many people think it should perform like a 512MB dedicated server and that is simply not the case.
My best advice would be to purchase a RAM upgrade.

Hello all.
I have just sign up to Solar VPS on UK.
Good performance for a good price.
But a few thing that can be better.
I sign up for an Mercury OVLC, with Fantastico and RVSkins bundle.
Solar VPS miss to delivery Fantastico and RVSkins, when I open a case in helpdesk,
I recived an code for Fantastico, but not RVSkins, I'm still waiting for RVSkins.
Perhaps some better routine for take care of oder.
But the big issue is the ethics for Special Promotions on Solar VPS Forum.
When I new customer sign up for an account, obvious the new customer should have benefits som some promos, it ther is any for the moment.
When I sign up there was (still active) a promos for more memory,
I have no idea to look in some forums for some promos.
The VPS people should - automatic - reduce my bill with some comments "now we have some sale, you price has bean xxxx instead of yyyy, thans for order" .. or someting like that
Thank You
Gunnar

I been with SolarVPS since 11th Nov 2005, I find the services at SolarVPS Great never had much trouble with them! The support team are great, they are so helpful, reply very quickly, in a matter of minutes in most cases! Only one problem is the forum, it needs to be more active.
