CMS... Which do you prefer?

Just curious what everyone's favorite CMS is! I am personally addicted to Wordpress and CMSMadeSimple. I find both of them very easy to modify and template into anything that I could possibly dream of.

I've been working with Wordpress for so long now that I pretty much know it in and out. One of my hobbies is turning Wordpress into everything that it was never meant to be ;)

What is your favorite CMS and why? What makes it "the perfect match"?

Retriever II:
My own ;)

It may not be the most efficient use of my time, but writing and maintaining a CMS for my own purposes has been a great learning experience.  The best part, of course, is that I know exactly how it works and how to modify it.  On the other hand, there's also pieces like templating that I just never seem to get perfect, but I can't expect to duplicate all the work of many brilliant programmers to the large open source projects.

Is Wordpress really a CMS? I use Wordpress for my blog but it seems more like a tool catered specifically toward blogging than it is an actual CMS. However, I do see some sites that use Wordpress which are undeniably cool. daniel, What has your experience been using Wordpress as a CMS?

daniel_dbs:
Hey Ross,

Well actually, Wordpress isn't really meant to be a CMS ;) That doesn't mean you can't make it into one with little coding knowledge or anything.

One of the reasons I usually jump on Wordpress is the fact it has SO many themes available and plugins available that I know I can always find what I need.

If you are not scared of manipulating the code at all then it is super easy to go through and remove the more "bloggy" features as well.

I second that.  Completely.

Oh, slightly off topic, one of my friends (Ross, you know him... Joe) has one of the COOLEST blogs I have ever seen.  Yes, it IS interactive, and yes, it's designed to look like an SSH session.
