Cpanel - Email Authentication - cannot be used because this server is not a DNS serve

After I enable DomainKeys I see this next to status:

"Enabled, WARNING: DomainKeys cannot be used because this server is not a DNS server for mydomain.com"

Also when I enable SPF I see this next to status:

"Enabled, WARNING: SPF cannot be used because this server is not a DNS server for mydomain.com"

mydomain.com = replaced with the actual domain name.

Is this a limitation of a VPS server?

I have a vague idea why this happened, but I'm not sure though. Please post a ticket at

support@solarvps.com with your details, asking for Marius, and we'll get it sorted out. After that, I'll update this thread and explain if I was right or not in my initial assumption.

Thanks to the Support Team for getting me all straight.

I simply needed to add my domainkey and spf DNS records to PBA

I said I would come back and post the problem, and besides what robr3004 reported: the domainkey and spf record, there was the litle problem of the nameservers on the SolarVPS container not being the authoritative nameservers.

But, as Ross said, I'm glad everything was sorted out in the end.
