[VZ] - Backup Restore Time?

Hi everyone,

I was working through our Linux VPS and unfortunately, managed to hose it pretty well doing some system work. I've managed to restore a backup thru Parallels (so I think). My question is: how long does it take before a system image is restored?

Hello,

The Parallels Panel opens a pop-up for most actions ( restart , backup, restore) which shows the current progress of the task . This pop-up also automatically refreshes.

If the restore is complete you should also see the old VPS content in /old .

The restore process is usually faster than the backup one but depending on the volume of data it can take from 15 minutes to 2 hours to restore a VPS.

You can also check in Parallels the Task log for status changes of the VPS (e.g. Stopping, Restoring, Starting , Running).
