We actually see this behavior with Apache process getting killed for pushing the RAM limit very often and that is the default behavior of Virtuozzo.
Traffic is not necessarily (or not at all) related to this.

I merely meant the site is often idle or barely used is all. After the long weekend I'll look more into it.
